“Exercise your Bengal spirit" and gear up for the Buffalo State Alumni Association's 12th Annual Bengal 5K Run and Fun Walk, on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 9:30 a.m. on the Buffalo State College campus. Presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, the proceeds from this event benefit the Legacy Scholarship Fund, a scholarship awarded annually to a deserving Buffalo State student who is the child or grandchild of an alumnus/na.

Pre-registration will run through March 11, at a cost of $18 for the general public, $16 for Buffalo State faculty, staff, or alumni, and $10 for students of any age and/or school/college affiliation.  The fee increases after March 11. Special pre-registration group discounts are available and knit caps, bib numbers and bags can be picked up prior to the race on Friday, March 13, from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., at Fleet Feet Sports, 2290 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14216. This is a Champion Chip race and is the second leg of the “Queen City Triple Crown” race series.

Following the run/walk, enjoy great food/beverages, an awards ceremony, door prizes and fun at our popular Post-Race Bengal Brunch.  Overall, age group and special category awards will be presented.
