2007 Bengal 5K Run and Fun Walk Breaks Previous Records!

On March 24, a record turnout of more than 550 participants and over 100 volunteers braved the elements to support the 10th Annual Bengal 5K Run and Fun Walk. What prompted this amazing show of Bengal spirit on a dreary day?

The reasons are many: a legacy of ten years, this one in memory of Dr. Carmine A. Grande; incredible alumni support as demonstrated by Mayor Byron Brown, '83, firing the starting gun and Claudine Ewing, ’92, emceeing the Post-Race Bengal Brunch; heart-warming support for a worthy cause, the Legacy Scholarship Fund; the emergence of the Queen City Triple Crown race series; not to mention the prizes, camaraderie, and exercise.

Highlights and photos from the 2007 Bengal 5K will be posted at www.buffalostatebengal5k.org. so stay tuned!
