24/12 at the Burchfield-Penney

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to announce 24/12, a series of 12 exhibitions featuring 24 Western New York artists over a 12 month period.
Each month, an opening reception will be held on the second Friday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (except November when the opening will be held on Thursday, November 10). The first exhibition will begin on Friday, October 14 with an opening reception from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. and features recent work by painter A.J. Fries and furniture designer Taeyoul Ryu. The exhibition will be on view through November 8, 2005.
“It is an exciting time at the Burchfield-Penney Art Center when we have an opportunity such as 24/12present to the work of so many great artists in such a short periods of time,” said Don Metz, head of public programming and associate director of the Burchfield-Penney. “Each pair of artists will be on view for one month, giving the community a chance to experience the breadth and depth of artistic talent of the artists of Western New York.”

About the Burchfield-Penney Art Center
The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is a museum dedicated to the art and vision of Charles E. Burchfield and distinguished artists of Buffalo Niagara and Western New York State. The museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students and $3 for children and is free for students, faculty and staff of Buffalo State College and members of the Burchfield-Penney.
