AFSAD Presents Second Annual Black History Program

The Buffalo State Association of Faculty and Staff of African Descent (AFSAD) invites all to celebrate Black History Month, Sunday, February 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

“Faces of America: Old Challenges in a New Millennium" is an exciting evening of song, dance, music, and historical presentations commemorating the achievements of African Americans throughout our nation’s history.

Featured among the talent are lyric soprano Tediyra Barton Harris, the African-American Center dancers and drummers, the Jesus Band, Miss Barbara’s School of Dance, New Beginnings Ensemble, mezzo soprano Theresa Jordan, City Honors High School choir, the Buffalo Select Chorus, dancer James Huggins, and soloist Tieisha Thomas.

This multicultural program is free to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Join the students, staff, and the Greater Buffalo community in a celebration of a people who have overcome great odds to make substantial contributions to every facet of American life.
