Alumna Kathleen Moskal to Speak at Fulbright Conference: October 4

Kathleen Moskal, ’65, an entrepreneur, product designer, and developer, will speak at the Western New York/Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Fulbright Association’s fall conference Friday, October 4, from 1:15 to 2:40 p.m. in Campbell Student Union 302. After the talk, breakout sessions will last until 3:30 p.m., when refreshments will be served.

Moskal is known for her Hue, vereGOODS, and vere brands, which are known around the world. Her most recent brand, Okoko, features “fashionable products made from unique and proprietary modern materials.” She has worked on brand building and entrepreneurship and believes international education can be important to this process.

The theme of the fall conference is “The International Entrepreneur” and will feature presentations and breakout sessions on the different Fulbright awards. It is open to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty members, and professionals interested in applying for a Fulbright scholarship to study abroad in the 2015–2016 academic year.

The event is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required.. Those interested in attending should contact Shannon Risk, assistant professor at Niagara University. Registration will take place before the talk, from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m.
