Congratulations to alumna Rebecca (Hens) Formwalt, ’94, ’96, who was named the New York State Restaurant Association Educational Foundation 2012 Teacher of the Year. Formwalt, who earned an M.S.Ed in vocational technical education, teaches at the Emerson School of Hospitality in Buffalo, a “unique high school learning environment that blends academics, culinary arts, and food industry career training.” It’s the most recent of Formwalt’s many awards, which include being named the Chef of the Year by the Greater Buffalo American Culinary Federation in 2010.
