Alumnus, Author Takes Part in Native American Heritage Celebration

Award-winning Onondagan author and artist Eric Gansworth, ’89, will give a presentation, “Two Rows: A Balancing Act” in Bulger Communication Center South, Tuesday, April 20, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Gansworth, professor of English and Lowery Writer-in-Residence at Canisius College, has published several novels and books of poetry. His novel Mending Skins received the PEN Oakland-Josephine Miles Award in 2006, and his collection of poems, A Half-life of Cardio-Pulmonary Function, was third on the National Book Critics Circle “Good Reads” list in spring 2008.

Gansworth’s presentation is one of several events celebrating Native American culture as part of Buffalo State’s 20th annual Native American Heritage Celebration this month.
