The Business Department held its annual awards ceremony to recognize graduating seniors who have excelled academically and in community service, Friday, May 4, in Bacon Hall 115.
Three students received awards for their scholarship and volunteerism: Kimberly Mueses was presented with the Outstanding Student in Business Administration Award; Darrell Corathers received the Outstanding Student in the Management Concentration Award; and Carlos Cisneros Vilchis earned the Outstanding Student in the International Business Concentration Award.
The 2011–12 Kratus Entrepreneurship Award was also given to two students who showed an interest in entrepreneurship by owning a business or preparing to own a business. Krista Leon was presented with the award for her involvement with “Craze Clothing and Accessories” in downtown Buffalo, and Andrew Miyoshi received the award for his involvement with “Miyoshi’s Sports Bar and Sports Collectibles” in Newburg.
