Bring Your Valued Treasures to Free Art Conservation Clinic

Share
If you have questions about damaged heirlooms, collectibles or antiques, faculty experts at the annual Buffalo State College Art Conservation Clinic, Sept. 19, will examine your valued treasure, discuss conservation options and provide advice about care.

Some objects will be accepted for conservation treatment as supervised student projects. Appointments are necessary and will be scheduled in the order that calls are received. The clinic is free.

The Buffalo State College Art Conservation Department is nationally renowned with alumni holding significant positions at the nation’s leading museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Museum of Modern Art; the Smithsonian Institution; the J. Paul Getty Museum; the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Those attending will spend about 30 minutes with a faculty member in one of the department’s three areas of study: paintings, paper or objects.

For an appointment or more information, call Diana McNerney at 878-5025.
