Brockport Topples Men’s Basketball
BROCKPORT, NY—Brockport (17-6/13-1) used a 16-3 run late in the first half and pulled away from visiting Buffalo State (7-12/4-8) for a 89-73 win in a SUNYAC contest tonight at Tuttle North Gymnasium.
Jamar Gray (Rochester/ Bishop Kearney) and Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/ Queens Vocational) each had 13 points for Buffalo State, and Antonio Speed (Buffalo/ East) had 12 points and eight board.
Brockport quickly erased an early four-point deficit, exploding to a 62-41 halftime lead. The Golden Eagles built their lead to as many as 34 in the final frame before coasting to the 16-point win. Brockport outscored Buffalo State, 44-20 in the paint.
Buffalo State will visit Geneseo tomorrow at 4 p.m.
