Bryan Adams performs a solo acoustic show, Thursday, April 22, at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.

Celebrating a career that has spanned 30 years, Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Bryan Adams’s current tour is composed of concerts at intimate theaters and halls around the globe. The “Bare Bones Tour” has seen Adams perform solo acoustic renditions of such radio classics as “Cuts Like A Knife," "Summer of '69," and "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You." In addition, Adams has showcased material from his new studio album, 11.

During the course of his career, Adams has racked up an astounding list of merits, including three Academy Awards, five Golden Globes, and 18 Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys).

While Adams is no stranger to entertainment awards, the songwriter's altruistic endeavors have received far less media attention. Fortunately, that oversight is about to rectified. In April, Adams will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at the 2010 Juno Awards for his longtime support of children’s education, cancer research, and other philanthropic causes.
