Buffalo State Celebrates Constitution and Citizenship Day

Constitution and Citizenship Day, September 17, commemorates the signing of that famed document that begins “We the People...” and recognizes all who, by birth or naturalization, have become U.S. citizens.

Since ratification, the original document has been endlessly debated and interpreted; however, it endures and remains the longest-lasting written constitution in history.

This event provides an opportunity to review the Constitution's history, amendments, and ongoing evolution.

At Buffalo State, Constitution Day and Citizenship Day will be observed with the following:

A one-hour radio program hosted by WBNY Public Affairs Director Jessica Cassick (Communication '16). Program will feature a conversation with well-known Buffalo LGBT activists, as well as an expert in Constitutional Law.
