For its third concert, the Buffalo State College and Community Orchestra Philharmonia presents an Info-Concert, Celebrating Symphonic Time Periods, on April 12 at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will feature an informal, educational review of orchestral music from baroque to modern, including the music of Lully, Haydn, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Dvorak, Diamond and Cox. Brief narrative descriptions by Maestro Paul Ferington will accompany musical examples performed by the 75-member Philharmonia.

Violin solos will be performed by Amy Glidden, Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra associate concertmaster and Buffalo State adjunct violin instructor. The event, which is free to all, will be at Buffalo State’s Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall. For more information, call (716) 878-6401.
