Buffalo State College Celebrates Opening of Student Union Retail Dining Center
A cake-cutting ceremony and reception today, Friday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m., marks the official opening of a new Student Union Retail Dining Center at Buffalo State College.
New York State Assembly Member Sam Hoyt, who committed $250,000 in state funds to jumpstart the long-awaited project, will be the featured guest along with Tom Post, president, Sodexho Campus Services, which provided $1 million in funding.
"This exciting new facility is a wonderful complement to all the enhancements being made on our campus," said Buffalo State College President Muriel A. Howard. "It could not have been made possible without the support of Assembly Member Hoyt, the Sodexho organization and the SUNY Construction Fund. On behalf of our entire college community - especially our students -- we extend our deepest appreciation."
