Buffalo State College Hosts Immigration and Naturalization Service Seminar
Buffalo State College will host an implementation seminar for Immigration and Naturalization Service's Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2002, in Room 213 of the Science Building.
SEVIS is an Internet-based system that provides tracking and monitoring functionality with access to information on non-immigrant students and exchange visitors and their dependents. The system is slated for release this summer; institutions hosting international students will be required to use it.
The seminar will provide the tools and information necessary to use the Web-based application. Topics to be addressed include system functionality, program history and user access.
