Buffalo State Opens Preseason Football Camp
Fourth-year Head Coach Paul Shaffner and his staff welcomed 100 prospective football players to Buffalo State’s 2007 preseason camp this weekend as the team prepares for its second season as a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).
The Bengals will look to improve on a 3-7 overall mark and a 2-5 conference record this season with conference games against Cortland, Kean, Montclair State, Rowan, William Patterson, Western Connecticut and the College of New Jersey. Buffalo State will open the 2007 campaign with a pair of non-conference road games, opening at Morrisville on Sept. 1 and hosting 2006 NCAA runner-up St. John Fisher on Sept. 8. Other highlights on the docket include a “homecoming” meeting with Kean on Sept. 29, and the regular season finale against Brockport on Nov. 10 at home in the “I-90 Bowl”.
The tentative practice schedule for training camp is as follows:
