Buffalo State's Ackley Tops Women's Lacrosse All-Time Scoring List
Buffalo State women’s lacrosse player Shantel Ackley (Baldwinsville / C.W. Baker) became the program’s all-time leading scorer, surpassing the previous mark of 127 points set by Chelsey Frail who played for Buffalo State from 2003-2006.
Ackley, a senior health and wellness major, recorded three goals and two assists in a 9-8 victory at Brockport on Tuesday, bringing her career total to 128 points on 98 goals and 30 assists. She also ranks in the top three in several single season and career statistical categories, including goals and points in a season and career assists.
The Bengals currently own a 3-2 overall record and 1-0 mark in SUNYAC play. Buffalo State will next play host to Oneonta on Saturday at 1 p.m.
