Buffalo State's Banach Named ECAC Softball All-Star
CENTERVILLE, Mass.--Buffalo State's Jolene Banach (Cheektowaga/ Maryvale) was recognized today as an ECAC Division III Upstate Softball All-Star after leading the Bengals to their fifth-consecutive 20-win season.
Banach, a sophomore health and wellness major, played every game at third base this season and finished as the Bengals' leading hitter with a .407 season average. Banach also led the team with 12 doubles, was third with 22 RBIs and added three home runs.
She also captured Second Team All-Region honors and was named All-SUNYAC.
Buffalo State finished third in the SUNYAC and posted an overall record of 27-11.
