Aimee Fisher (Hamburg/ Frontier) became Buffalo State’s second-consecutive State University of New York Athletics Conference (SUNYAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week today, earning the honor one week after Jenna Frieling (E. Amherst/ Williamsville North) claimed the distinction.

Fisher, a junior anthropology major, earned four wins in two days, helping the Bengals to a pair of two-game sweeps over Carleton and Bethel. Fisher allowed just two runs in 12 hits in 22 innings of work with a 0.64 ERA. She also had 13 strikeouts and registered her first shutout of the season in a 1-0 two-hitter against Bethel.

Fisher is 5-2 with a 1.30 ERA this season. She ranks second in school history with 318 career strikeouts, just 22 shy of equaling Deanna Hunt’s school record.

Buffalo State is scheduled to open SUNYAC play tomorrow at Geneseo at 3 p.m.
