Buffalo State's Henderson Named SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week
Buffalo State sophomore attack Katie Henderson (Lakeview/ Frontier) was named the SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week after leading the Bengals to a pair of conference wins.
Henderson, a sophomore health and wellness major, helped the Bengals stay unbeaten in SUNYAC play. Henderson scored four goals to help Buffalo State defeat Geneseo for the first time in 13 tries on Tuesday, and then tied a school record for goals in a game with eight in a win at Potsdam on Saturday.
She leads the Bengals with 33 goals in eight games and is second on team with 34 points.
Buffalo State will next travel to face the only SUNYAC unbeaten team Cortland on Saturday.
