FREDONIA, NY—Buffalo State’s Jason Hill (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) and Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) were both recognized today as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) announced its men’s hockey All-Conference Teams.

Hill, a sophomore forward, was selected to the Second Team. The health and wellness major led the Bengals in scoring in the regular season, tallying 38 points, including 13 goals, in 22 games. He also totaled 10 goals and 15 assists for 25 points in 14 league games, good for fourth-best in the conference. In just two seasons, Hill already ranks ninth in school history with 62 points (19 goals and 43 assists) in only 45 career games.

Sheehan, a senior goalie, was named Honorable Mention. A criminal justice major, he posted a 10-10-2 overall record with two shutouts. Sheehan also had a .897 save percentage and a 3.35 goals-against-average. This marks the third-consecutive season Sheehan earned All-SUNYAC honors, earning Honorable Mention as a sophomore and First Team status as a junior.

Buffalo State’s men’s hockey team will host the first home SUNYAC playoff game in the program’s history on Tuesday (Feb. 20) night at 7 p.m. The fourth-seeded Bengals will host No. 5 Fredonia at 7 p.m. in the SUNYAC quarterfinals.
