Buffalo State junior Katie Lyons (Williamsville/Williamsville North) was named the SUNYAC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week after pacing the Bengals to a pair of home victories this past week.

Lyons, a social work major, scored nine goals and had four assists in the two wins as the Bengals improved to 3-0. The midfielder had four goals and two assists in a 14-6 win over RIT on Tuesday, and had five goals and two assists in an 18-7 win against Kenyon on Saturday.

Buffalo State will host Ithaca on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
