Buffalo State's Meyer, Nguyen Garner ECAC Football Honors
Buffalo State's Greg Meyer (Lancaster/Lancaster) and Peter Nguyen (Buffalo/South Park) were both selected today to the ECAC Southeast Football All-Star Team.
Meyer, who was a First Team All-New Jersey Athletic Conference pick, led the league with 887 receiving yards on 49 catches and scored a team-high 11 touchdowns this season. The junior health and wellness major had more than twice as many receiving yards as any other Bengal.
Nguyen, a senior cornerback, was also a First Team All-Conference pick, after ranking second in the league with six interceptions. A hospitality major, he had 61 tackles, including 46 solo stops and 10.5 tackles for loss, and an NJAC-best three fumble recoveries and three blocked kicks.
