Buffalo State's Nowicki Named All-America
Buffalo State hockey player Todd Nowicki (Tonawanda/O'Hara HS) was named Second Team All-America by the American Hockey Coaches Association. The senior forward becomes the first player in Buffalo State history to receive this honor.
Nowicki became the first Bengal to surpass the 100-career point mark earlier this year, and finished his career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 116 career points. He led the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) in scoring this season with 25 points and tallied 46 points in 27 games overall. He also set a new school record for goals in a season with 23. Nowicki, Buffalo State's assistant captain, led the Bengals to their first-ever SUNYAC playoff appearance, and was also honored as the SUNYAC Player of the Year.
Nowicki will join fellow senior Jad Ramsay (Tampa, FL/Williamsville North) at the Eastern College Senior All-Star Game in Plattsburgh on March 30.
