Buffalo State's O'Brien Named SUNYAC Women's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week
Buffalo State freshman Ashley O’Brien (Lima/ Honeoye Falls-Lima) was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Lacrosse Goalie of the Week after helping the Bengals to a pair of league victories.
The freshman psychology major backstopped the Bengals to a 2-0 SUNYAC start. O'Brien made 12 saves in a 9-8 win over Brockport on Tuesday, and had 14 stops in a 21-10 victory over Oneonta on Saturday.
O’Brien has a 4-2 record with a 10.29 goals against average and a .516 save percentage six games into her rookie season.
Buffalo State will next host Geneseo tomorrow at 4 p.m.
