Buffalo State’s Petriello Named SUNYAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week
Buffalo State’s Nick Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/ Holy Cross) was named the SUNYAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week after helping the Bengals extend their winning streak to six this weekend.
Petriello, a freshman forward, earned five points in two road wins as the Buffalo State defeated Johnson and Wales, 6-2 on Friday and 4-2 on Saturday. The childhood education major had three assists in the opener and tallied a goal and an assist in the second game against the Wildcats.
The SUNYAC's leading scorer with 24 points, Petriello has 11 goals and 13 assists.
