Buffalo State's Rammacher Named to Softball All-Academic Team
Buffalo State sophomore Heidi Rammacher (Angola/Lakeshore) was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic District I College Division Softball First Team. The honor recognizes players for combining excellence on the field and in the classroom.
The designated player holds a 3.59 grade point average in secondary math education, and served as the Bengals cleanup hitter during the 2002 season. After breaking her thumb just nine games into her rookie season a year ago, Rammacher made a triumphant return, posting a .339 batting average and 27 runs batted in. She was also named to the All-SUNYAC Team.
Rammacher's First Team selection now earns her a place on the National Academic All-America ballot. That team will be announced in early June.
