Buffalo State's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the College Swim Coaches Association of America's Academic All-America Teams today.

The men's team was the only SUNYAC team to make the list, finishing at 25th out of 191 Division III teams, registering an overall grade point average of 3.04. This is the fifth straight semester that the Bengals have been named to the team, the longest running streak in the conference.

The women's team was one of two SUNYAC teams garnishing the award, beating out Geneseo for the top team in the conference. The Bengals' overall grade point average of 2.91 was good enough to rank them 59th out of 232 Division III teams.

“We are excited about receiving the honor,” said head coach Mike Switalski. “It proves that our student athletes are as committed to excellence in the classroom as they are in the water.”

Buffalo State will graduate just two seniors this season and Coach Switalski is looking forward to bringing a new recruiting class into the fold for his fourth season at the helm of the program.
