Buffalo State’s Theater Department to Host Solo Showcase
Dance enthusiasts are invited to attend a free performance as Buffalo State College’s Dance Program and Theater Department present a choreographic solo showcase featuring faculty, alumni and friends on Friday, Sept. 14, at 8 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall.
Those in attendance can expect to see styles such as tap, interpretive dance theater using text by Virginia Woolf, and even hip-hop. Featured performers include: faculty members Joy Guarino and Janet Reed; adjunct faculty Carlos Jones and Leanne Rinelli; alumni David Kraft and Julie Snyder; and guest artist Aaron Piepszny.
“The show will feature many different genres of dance, which will make for a unique event,” said Guarino, who is helping to organize the showcase.
