Buffalo State assistant women's basketball coach Tim Williams will serve as the head coach with the Western Open Division women's basketball team at this week's Empire State Games in Westchester. Williams will be assisted by Buffalo State alum Jacey Brooks, who finished her playing career last season as the school's fourth all-time leading scorer with 1,219 points.

The Western team lost the Bronze Medal game at last year's Games, 84-72, against Adirondack.

The team will tip-off the tournament tomorrow at 4 p.m. against the team from New York City.
