Burchfield-Penney Art Center Announces New Board of Trustees Members

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College is pleased to announce the election of three new members to the museum's Board of Trustees: James Bower, Angelo Fatta, Ph.D. and Susan Hoskins. The officers of the Board are James Brandys, President; Cindy Abbott-Letro, Vice President; Calvin Rand, Vice President; Paula Reinhold, Vice President; Gary Brost, Treasurer and LeRoi Johnson, Secretary.

"The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is again fortunate to welcome three talented and accomplished members to our Board of Trustees," said Ted Pietrzak, director of the Burchfield-Penney. "The museum flourishes thanks to the support and guidance of our Board and Council, and we welcome Jim Bower, Ang Fatta and Sue Hoskins."

James Bower is director of One Source Marketing, a full-service promotional sales division of Rich Products Corporation. Mr. Bower is a member of marketing boards for the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo State College, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Buffalo Zoo and the Arts Council of Buffalo and Erie County. He is a graduate of Niagara University.

Angelo Fatta, Ph.D. is president of BuffLink, Inc., a not-for-profit, private sector initiative which promotes the creation of a regional life sciences economy through the commercialization of the world-class research being conducted at UB, Roswell Park and the Hauptman Woodward Institute. His community involvement includes Cradle Beach Camp, the Western and Central New York American Automobile Association, the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute and the Shaw Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON. Dr. Fatta earned a B.S. from Canisius College and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Wayne State University in Detroit.

Susan Hoskins has served on the boards of Buffalo Prep, Buffalo Hearing and Speech, Gilda's House, the Burchfield-Penney Art Center Council and Western New York Women's Foundation. She is a lifelong resident of Western New York and a graduate of Ohio University. Mrs. Hoskins, and her husband John, are owners of Curtis Screw Company, a leading manufacturer of precision machined components.

Those who are continuing their membership on the Burchfield-Penney Board of Trustees are Robert Budin, Adrian Dedecker III, R. William Doolittle Jr., Peter Fleischmann, Carol Heckman, Muriel A. Howard, Stanley Kardonsky, Carol Kociela, Lynne Kreiner, Mortimer Spiller and Benjamin Zuffranieri.
