Burchfield-Penney Art Center Announces Three New Members of Its Board of Trustees

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is pleased to announce the election of three new members to its Board of Trustees: Jacqueline Sanchez Culliton, Linda Dobmeier and Mark W. Yonkman.

Jacqueline Sanchez Culliton is Regional Sales Manager for First Niagara bank, responsible for 30 First Niagara branches in the Western New York region to include all aspects of sales, service and personnel management. Prior to joining First Niagara in 2005, Mrs. Culliton had an 18-year career with KeyBank and a 16-year career with M&T Bank. She is a graduate of Rosary Hill College and has been a member of the Burchfield-Penney’s Council since 1997.

Linda A. Dobmeier of East Amherst, N.Y., is vice president of Dobmeier Janitor Supply, Inc. She is chair-elect of the Buffalo State College Foundation and is member of numerous philanthropic and community organizations including Roswell Park Cancer Institute Corporation, Amherst Police Foundation, Brothers of Mercy Campus Foundation, FBI Foundation and Niagara Lutheran Home Foundation.

Mark W. Yonkman is General Counsel and Senior Vice President of M&T Bank with responsibility for all legal affairs of the organization. Prior to joining M&T, Mr. Yonkman was Senior Vice President, Assistant Secretary and General Counsel-Corporate Finance and Investment Bank of Comerica Incorporated. Mr. Yonkman graduated from Kalamazoo College in 1982 and attended law school at Wayne State University, where he graduated Cum Laude and Order of the Coif and an Associate Editor of the Wayne Law Review. He is a director of the M&T Charitable Foundation.

The new 84,000 square foot Burchfield-Penney, designed by Gwathmey Siegel and Associates Architects, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2008. The two-story building will be the Burchfield-Penney’s first free-standing home and have a major presence on Elmwood Avenue in the heart of Buffalo’s Museum District.

The Burchfield-Penney Art Center is accredited by the American Association of Museums and is supported in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Institute of Museum and Library Services and Erie County.
