Buffalo State’s newly renovated Caudell Hall was named the Best Collegiate project in Buffalo Business First’s 2017 “Brick by Brick” contest. An awards ceremony was held on June 19 at the Lexus Club to recognize the winners and finalists in 10 categories.
“Each of the winners represent how the region continues to progress and move forward,” said Jack Connors, Business First publisher and president, in the article announcing the winners.
The 21,000-square-foot Caudell, which reopened at the beginning of the spring semester, houses three departments within the School of the Professions: Hospitality and Tourism, Social Work, and Speech-Language Pathology, along with the Health, Nutrition, and Dietetics Department, which is within the School of Natural and Social Sciences.
The article mentions all of the designers and contractors who worked on the $27.6 million project. Renovations included state-of-the-art food laboratories, updated classrooms and computer labs, and designated space for the Nutrition Education Counseling Center.
The college held a ribbon-cutting ceremony in February to celebrate Caudell’s reopening.
