Call for Musicians for the Buffalo State Philharmonia

Community musicians are invited to audition on Monday, August 26, and Wednesday, August 28, for fall 2013 membership in the Buffalo State Philharmonia.  

The Philharmonia is composed of Buffalo State faculty, music majors, non-music majors, area professional musicians, local music educators, and community enthusiasts who are committed to performing the symphonic repertoire at a high level. Led by maestro Paul Ferington, the Philharmonia has been playing concerts since 2009.

For the audition, musicians should select one orchestral excerpt and prepare a short solo piece (three minutes maximum). The Philharmonia’s fall concert will be held Tuesday, November 19.
