Campus Community Invited to Olmsted Mural Dedication

The Buffalo State campus community is invited to a reception and dedication ceremony for a new 210-foot-long mural near McKinley High School, 1500 Elmwood Ave., Wednesday, July 27, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Under the direction of artist Augustina Droze, Buffalo State fine arts students painted the mural which depicts scenes from each of the six parks designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.

Commissioned by the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, the mural is located behind McKinley High School and is visible from the Scajaquada Expressway.

Parking for the dedication ceremony is available at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Museum.
