Castagna, Sheehan Earn All-Conference Recognition
Buffalo State men’s hockey players Sean Castagna (San Jose, CA/Bellarmine Prep) and Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) received All-Conference recognition by the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
Castagna, who was named to the First Team, finished first in the SUNYAC for points by a defenseman with .93 points-per-game. The junior defenseman registered three goals and 10 assists in conference play. Sheehan earned honorable mention honors for his performance between the pipes for the Bengals. The sophomore goaltender finished the season with a 4.22 goals-against-average and a .896 save percentage. Sheehan now ranks third among all-time goaltending leaders in Buffalo State history.
The Bengals finished their season at 5-17-3 overall with a 1-10-3 mark in conference play.
