Homecoming provides a rare opportunity for the entire campus community to come together to celebrate Buffalo State. With fun-filled activities like the pep rally, lip sync competition, and parade and the exciting action of Bengals' football, homecoming offers something for everyone.
Thursday, October 1
Pep Rally
12:15 p.m.
The Plaza (between the Campbell Student Union and E. H. Butler Library)
Take part in this traditional event and get psyched for the King and Queen Competition, parade, tailgate parties, Union Bash, football and soccer games.
Students will enjoy a free chicken barbecue, sponsored by the United Students Government, lip sync competition semifinals, banner competition, and great giveaways while watching the parade of student-athletes and performances by the Buffalo State cheerleaders.
Friday, October 2
Communication Department Alumni Social

Communication Department graduates are invited to catch up at the department’s annual reunion at one of Buffalo’s newest hot spots.
Cost: $10 (cash only at the door). Space is limited. Must be age 21 or over to attend with a valid photo ID.
Buffalo State Football Reunion

Catch up with former teammates, coaches, and others.
Cost: $20 (cash only at the door). Cost includes food and four tickets to the homecoming football game.

Homecoming /Family Weekend Parade and Victory March

Staging in the Burchfield Penney Art Center parking lot.
Join student organizations, alumni, and others in our 1.8-mile parade—along Elmwood, Bird, and Richmond avenues—before returning to campus and the Sports Arena for the great tailgate party!
Homecoming Tailgate Party
10:45 a.m.
Sports Arena
Step inside the Sports Arena and take part in a pre-game tailgate party with Buffalo State alumni, students, family, staff, and friends. The tailgate party begins at 10:45 a.m., and the big game starts at noon.
Cost (cash only at the door): $5 for alumni; $15 for non-alumni and parents; free for Buffalo State students and children ages 12 and under. Cost includes food and refreshments and one ticket to Buffalo State’s Homecoming football game.
Football Game vs. St. John Fisher College

Coyer Field
Cheer on the Bengals when they battle arch-rival St. John Fisher College in an Empire 8 Conference game. Tickets are free for Buffalo State students and just $5 for others (available at Coyer Field).
Men's Soccer vs. Fredonia

Homecoming Alumni Concert
7:30 p.m.
Louis P. Ciminelli Recital Hall
Music Department alumni will perform a concert during Homecoming Weekend. A post-concert reception featuring light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will follow. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
