Ciolek Captures Baldwin Wallace Decathlon
Buffalo State sophomore Ken Ciolek (Limestone/Bradford Area) won the Baldwin-Wallace Decathlon yesterday, breaking his own school record with a final score of 6,069 points.
Ciolek won four of the 10 events in the five-man competition. He captured first place in the javelin (53.08m), discus (36.04m), high jump (1.96m) and the shot put (11.04m). His final score provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division III Championships Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa on May 26-28.
A handful of Ciolek's teammates will travel to Baldwin Wallace this weekend for a "Last Chance" meet.
