College Welcomes Empire State Games
As one of the host venues for the 2010 Empire State Games, July 21—25, Buffalo State welcomes amateur athletes, parents, and fans from across New York State to campus.
Competitions in synchronized swimming (Kissinger Pool), judo (Houston Gym), wrestling (Ice Arena), and gymnastics (Sports Arena) will be held on campus. Download spectator/participant parking map (PDF).
Six current or former Buffalo State student-athletes will be competing. Representing the Western squad will be Breanna Fenski and Nicole Sabuda in softball; Melanie Bullard in the 10K road race; Jessica Walker in the triple jump; and James Wangelin in the 10,000 meter run. Matt Feeley will also compete in the 10,000 meter run for the Adirondack team.
In addition, nearly 1,000 participants will be housed in the college’s residence halls during the games.
