Construction on New Softball Field Underway
A construction crew broke ground on Buffalo State's new softball field in late-June and is scheduled to complete the project in time for play during the 2003 season.
The new complex will include a permanent fence, a warning track, bullpens, and a state-of-the-art scoreboard. The field will rival any in the State University of New York Athletic Conference, and help the Bengals in the battle to recruit top high school prospects and make a run at a fourth conference title.
Buffalo State's first contest on the new field is scheduled for Thursday, March 27 against Penn State Behrend.
