Buffalo State College President Katherine Conway-Turner has been named to the Western New York Women’s Foundation board of directors.
Conway-Turner is one of 22 board members who support the non-profit foundation’s mission to remove barriers and provide opportunities for women and girls to achieve self-sufficiency.
“It is a great honor to have been asked to serve and advocate for the WNY Women’s Foundation,” Conway-Turner said. “I whole-heartedly believe in the foundation’s vision to support a vibrant WNY community where all women and girls have the opportunity to thrive. I look forward to identifying connections and opportunities between the foundation and Buffalo State to work toward that vision.”
Conway-Turner also serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, Rochester-based H.O.P.E. (Haiti Outreach Pwoje Espwa), and on the operating committee for Say Yes Buffalo. In addition, she is a mentor for the NCAA Pathway Program.
