Cottrell Signs with Minnesota Vikings as Undrafted Free Agent
Buffalo State tight end TJ Cottrell (Williamsville/Williamsville South) signed as an undrafted free agent with the Minnesota Vikings.
The 6-foot-6-inch, 253-pound Cottrell established himself as a solid, versatile tight end at Buffalo State, and will try to defy the odds at the next level. In four seasons as a Bengal, Cottrell caught 69 balls for 787 yards and seven touchdowns. His best offensive season came in his sophomore year in 2001 when he grabbed 25 balls for 345 yards and three touchdowns.
Cottrell will attend the Vikings' minicamp from Thursday, May 6 through Sunday, May 9.
