Buffalo State's cross country teams competed at the New York State Cross Country Championships today at Hamilton College, with the men finishing 15th of 16 teams and the women placing 15th of 17.

Paul Mesi (Clarence/Clarence) led the Bengals on the men's side, finishing 84th of 144 runners with a time of 28:55.2. On the women's side, Jenny Vacanti (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) was the top finisher, placing 50th of 147 in 19:49.4. Aleksandra Halter (Clarence/Clarence) was the next Bengal finisher, crossing 53rd in 19:56.5.

Buffalo State will compete at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals next Saturday at the University of Rochester.
