Cross Country Hosts Daniel Walker Invitational
GRAND ISLAND, NY—Buffalo State hosted its annual season-opening Daniel Walker Memorial Cross Country Invitational today at Beaver Island State Park. The Bengals’ men’s team placed fifth of six teams, and the women were seventh of nine.
Bryan Buchanan (Cicero/CNS) paced the Bengals’ men, placing ninth of 87 runners in 26:19, and Ben Adams (Syracuse/Paul V. Moore) was 21st in 27:02 on the 8K course. Junior Margaret Hughes (Elmira/Elmira Free Academy) led Buffalo State’s women, crossing 18th of 98 runners with a time of 20:18 over the 5K course. Freshman Eugenia Episcopo (Marietta/Onondaga) was 37th in 21:52.
Buffalo State will compete at the Oswego Invitational next Saturday.
