Cross Country Teams Finish Sixth at Oswego Invite
OSWEGO, NY--Buffalo State's men's and women's cross country teams both witnessed impressive individual performances at the Oswego Invitational, propelling the men to a sixth-place finish among 13 teams, and the women placed sixth of 12 teams.
Bryan Buchanan (Cicero/CNS) led the Bengals, placing eighth among a deep field of 156 runners, covering the 8K course in 26:55. Ben Adams (Syracuse/Paul V. Moore) was the next Bengal to cross the finish line, finishing 19th in 28:01.
On the women's side, Margaret Hughes (Elmira/Elmira Free Acad.) led the way, finishing 20th of 133 runners, navigating the 5K course in 20:07. Dee Smelser (Plattsburgh/Plattsburgh) followed close behind, placing 23rd in 20:12.
Buffalo State will compete at the Brockport Invitational next Saturday.
