Sister Helen Prejean, the outspoken death penalty opponent and author of "Dead Man Walking: An Eyewitness Account of the Death Penalty in the United States," has canceled her Friday, September 14, 2001, talk at Buffalo State College, citing travel difficulties due to the tragic events of Tuesday, September 11.

The event has not at this time been rescheduled.
