Buffalo State freshman forward Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls) was named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Hockey Rookie of the Week.

DeMarco led the Bengals to a 10-2 victory over Johnson & Wales on Friday tallying a goal and a school record six assists. He was named to the All-Sport Invitational All-Tournament Team and currently leads the Bengals in scoring with nine points in four games.
