Edwards Advances To Finals in Third Event at NCAA Championships
OSHKOSH, WI—Buffalo State's Latoya D. Edwards (Brooklyn/ Clara Barton) qualified for her third event final in the second day of the 2008 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Edwards set a new school record in the 100-meter dash, qualifying for the finals with the second-best time of 11.99. She will vie for the national championship tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
She will also compete in the finals of the 200-meter dash tomorrow at 3:35 p.m., and start the day by joining forces with Anika Niles (Brooklyn/ Samuel J. Tilden), Katya Marin (Mt. Vernon/ Mt. Vernon) and Chenell Coleman (Buffalo/ McKinley) at 1 p.m., when the foursome will run for the title in the 4x100-meter relay.
