Five Buffalo State players were named to the State University of New York Athletic Conference's (SUNYAC) 2003 Softball All-Conference Team. Outfielders Stephanie Menth (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) and Heidi Rammacher (Angola/Lakeshore), infielder Tiffany Ciolek (Great Valley/Salamanca), pitcher Elizabeth Beiter (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda), and catcher Lindsey Matheis (Hamburg/Williamsville South) represented the Bengals on the All-Star squad based on their statistics in the team's 20 conference games.

Menth closed out her career as an All-SUNYAC leftfielder for the fourth straight season. The team's leadoff hitter posted a .305 batting average, and recorded two doubles and two homeruns.

Rammacher, a sophomore, was named to the team for the second consecutive season after leading the Bengals in nearly every offensive category. The team's rightfielder, she hit .365 with five homeruns, 20 RBI, and a .714 slugging percentage.

Ciolek, a junior second basemen, was a first-time All-SUNYAC selection. She recorded a .356 batting average, 16 RBI and led the team with four doubles.

Beiter and Matheis were also first-time All-Conference picks. Beiter, a junior, posted a 7-3 record on the mound with a 1.09 earned run average while striking out 23 batters. Matheis was dominant behind the plate as a freshman. as she made no errors and recorded 13 assists and 58 putouts.

Buffalo State finished the season with a 25-15 overall record and a fifth-place mark of 14-6 in SUNYAC play.
