Football Player Dan Lopez and Men's Hockey Player Nick Petriello
Football player Dan Lopez (Lancaster/St. Mary's) and men's hockey player Nick Petriello (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) were named the Buffalo State Co-Athletes of the Week.
Lopez, a senior running back, rushed for 160 yards on 34 carries in a 17-14 loss to William Paterson on Saturday. The health and wellness major scored both Bengal touchdowns on runs of 13 and 16 yards.
Petriello, a freshman forward, totaled a goal and three assist in his debut weekend. Petriello registered a pair of assists in a 4-2 loss against No. 4 Manhattanville on Friday, and then had a goal and an assist in the 4-1 victory over Cortland on Saturday.
